Your challenge- Definition of strategic and operative actions for respective categories. Coordination of those measures and formulation in category strategy
- Development and continuous improvement in the respective categories.
- Active supplier management and supplier development
- Definition, negotiation and awarding of contracts with strategic suppliers.
- Support of production plants, marketing, R&D, project- and technology category management concerning category relevant issues
- Influencing the cost structure by early involvement in the product development process
- Optimization of procurement processes focusing on the relevant materials in coordination with central functions, plants and suppliers
- Explore, execute and report savings according to guidelines in Sharepoint and in cooperation with internal customers and suppliers
- Ability to manage complexity
- Degree in economic or technical studies
- Several years of experience in Category Management of strategic materials or similar profession
- Fluent in English and German (written & spoken)
- ability to build up product and market knowledge for the respective categories
- economic thinking and acting and the ability to think beyond the obvious approach
- strategic negotiation skills and professional business attitude
