Senior Mechanical Engineer - Sensor Systems (w/m/d)
Everest Carbon is a fast-growing, VC-backed climate technology startup specializing in innovative sensor technology for the commercialization of negative emissions.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in our mission to scale negative emissions technologies.
You will plan and enable the mechanical optimization of all components of our novel sensor technology and holistically support the development team in experimental validation. You will be the interface between the strategic-technical management of the company and the technical implementation of production.
With top performance, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in building up our production team and transferring the product to series and then mass production.
Tasks- Refine of our initial minimum viable product into a mass produceable version.
- Optimize and integrate mechanical components to ensure robust and durable operation.
- Conduct rigorous quality tests to optimize and ensure durability and reliability of the technology under various environmental conditions.
- Work with manufacturing partners to optimize production processes and ensure scalability.
- Create detailed technical documentation and specifications for the product.
- Work with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, engineers annd software developers to ensure seamless integration of the sensor into our product platform.
- Minimum Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of industry experience in hardware development, from prototype to market-ready product.
- Proficiency in mechanical CAD (e.g. Solidworks, Onshape, Altium), electronics assembly and debugging
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ambition to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and present technical information in German and English.
