Job description
In this electrifying PhD position, you will play an active role in advancing Infineon's cutting-edge research. You will develop and refine ideas with input from our business line, academic experts, and industry partners, and have the opportunity to publish your findings in peer-reviewed journals and present them at international conferences.
The main research topics of your thesis project include but are not limited to: Utilization of digital technologies to enable trustworthy circular economy solutions and Digital Product Passport (DPP)- Investigate both centralized and decentralized DPP systems
- Develop secured data carriers for robust product passport applications
- Explore dynamic data updates and audit trail mechanisms for DPPs
- Design data connectors for seamless integration with systems like Gaia-X and Tractus-X
- Research scenarios involving multi-stakeholder dynamic data
- Enhance Asset Administration Shells and DPP metadata specifications
- Create and evaluate decentralized DPP service platforms
- Innovate in decentralized authorization and credential management
- Develop smart data carriers and trust services for DPP nodes
Full-time employment: 38.5 hrs/week
Duration: 3 years
Profile
We are looking for motivated students who bring a unique blend of expertise, curiosity, and enthusiasm.
Your toolkit for success includes:
- A degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- A solid foundation in applied data security and cryptography
- Proficiency in software development with experience in object-oriented and web-based platforms; experience with embedded software development is a plus
- The ability to work independently and solve complex problems
- Strong presentation skills for effectively communicating research findings
- Excellent English skills, with German proficiency being advantageous
This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry. The salary for this position is EUR 3.525,00 gross p.m. (full-time basis).
