The Impact You’ll Make
As a Test Engineer at Lam, you'll design and implement efficient testing methods for product development and manufacturing, improving quality and reducing cycle time. You'll perform diagnostic tests, design test features and equipment, and create detailed specifications for new products.Your strategic planning of labor, schedules, and equipment ensures effective testing operations. What You’ll Do- Design, develop, and implement cost-efficient methods to test and troubleshoot systems and equipment for manufacturing
- Prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and document specifications and procedures
- Plan labor, cost, timeline, and equipment required for testing
- Managing of work packages for Lam internal and external resources, who supports with test fixture design and programming
- Transfer test fixtures to high volume manufacturing (including traveling and training)
- Off- and On-site support for high volume manufacturing
- Implement new ideas and defining new ways of testing to reduce costs and test time
- Continuous improvement for products, process and manufacturing
- Technical education (completed apprenticeship/Lehre)
- Completed HTL-education (Electronic/Mechatronics) would be preferred but not a requirement
- MS office skills
- Experience on lean manufacturing and Design for Manufacturing methodologies preferred
- Hands on experience with Python/Lab View programming
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Self managed and proactive working style
- Ability to travel to suppliers or other Lam locations
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group D. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex.‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
