Everest Carbon is a fast-growing climate tech startup specializing in sensor technology for the commercialization of negative emissions.
As an Embedded Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in our mission to scale negative emission technologies.
You will work with our R&D team to develop a robust IoT communications infrastructure that transmits the in-field data from our innovative sensor to the cloud.
Tasks- Design, code, and test embedded software for operating devices in R&D and production environments
- Optimize the performance of hardware for low-power operation
- Setup rigorous quality tests
- Continuous improvement of communications and data software
- Create documentation for end-users
- Work with an interdisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and experienced founders
- At least a Bachelor's or Master's degree in software and/or embedded software
- 5+ years industry experience in embedded software design and hardware
- Proficient in embedded software programming in Python, C++, Git
- Proficiency with Nordic NRF micro-controllers, FreeRTOS, data acquisition systems
- Proficiency with various communications protocols including BLE, LoRa, SPI & I2C
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Remote with occasional on-site travel
This position is remote from anywhere within the EU with occasional travel to our R&D team in Linz, Austria.
