Summary
As a Head Maintenance Austria, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end maintenance process for all site in Austria. You will act asa Ambassadorto the external market as well to internal colleagues and partners by responsibly dealing with the Maintenance Strategy creation and implementation whileshowcasing Novartis Values and Behaviors to the core.

About the Role
Location: Schaftenau, Österreich #LI-hybrid
Major accountabilities:
- Being responsible for developing and maintaining technical site strategy plan ( Capex Plan , recapitalization of equipment , budgeting , etc.) and oversighting its implementation
- Defining and executing the asset - and maintenance strategy for Austria.
- B udgeting and planning resources for the maintenance, calibrations. At the same time being responsible for cost efficien cy for new and existent engineering assets in full compliance with law , cGMP and HSE regulation .
- Overseeing the management/ execution of all site investment projects according to asset life cycle management and project schedules , time , cost , functionality and quality.
- Apply ing initiatives and strategies from global improvement programs and engineering standards and pushing / supporting the roll out and implementation on local level.
- Manag ing third party service providers and corresponding contracts.
- Acting as team leader and manager - you will be managing the team of competent and high performing colleagues directly and indirectly
Essential Requirements:
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical- / Mechanical Engineering
- Several years of experience in Pharmaceutical/ Chemical/ FMCG Industry, up of which a detailed functional knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing equipment is essential.
- Highly skilled in problem solving in general and related to equipment (electrical, mechanical breakdowns) .
- Capacity of technical analysis of recurrent break down .
- Deep understanding of Pharma GMPs, Maintenance KPIs, Equipment onsite .
- Deep knowledge of maintenance activities, procedures and KPIs.
- Proven people-management and leadership skills .
- Fluent in English and German language.

For this position the minimum salary is € 77 . 543,90 /year (on a full-time basis). The actual salary will be significantly higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
We are open for part-time and job-sharing models and support flexible and remote working where possible.
